Is there a sales tax in Orange County?

Sales taxes are just a necessary evil that affects individuals all across the nation. For those shoppers with limited funds, sales taxes can be quite the burden. However, throughout California, there is not a sales tax on food items designed for human consumption with just a few exceptions. Keep in mind, that there is a sales tax on restaurant meals and preheated meals as well.

When dies the Orange County school year begin?

There are some institutions throughout Orange County that stay open all year long. For those schools that are not open year long, you will find the first day of classes on August 12, 2019.

During the early 1900’s, Orange County grew rapidly. Today, there are several cities of great importance including: Seal Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Bueno Park, Stanton, Cypress, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Anaheim, Yorba Linda, Placentia, Brea, La Habra, Costa Mesa, Villa Park, Orange, Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Tustin, Laguna Woods, Irvine, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Beach, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Coto de Caza, Las Flores, and Rancho Santa Margarita. You will also find several smaller enclaves and unincorporated ares within this 948 square mile city.

What time of year is the Orange County Fair held.

You can find the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa. During the 2019 season, you can attend the fair from July 12th through August 11th located at the OC Fair and Event Center. The very first of these events occurred in 1890. Every summer season it draws exceptional crowds.

What ever happened to the Orange County Choppers?

In 1999, Paul Teutul, Sr established a line of exclusive customized motorcycle called the Orange COunty Chopper line. However, his company maintains very close ties with Newburgh, a community found in Orange County, New York. While this may be a bit of a heartbreak to many California residents, there are several directories online that lise the Choppers as an Orange County, California company as well. With that being said, it would look as though there is more than enough love to go around for Orange County Choppers! Over the last few years, there have been several reality shows that have heavily featured the Choppers, among them American Chopper.

Offering a sunny and warm climate along with gorgeous scenic beaches, Orange County became a top tourist destination during the early 1900s. Today, residents and tourists alike enjoy the wide array of maritime activity. In addition to scenic beaches the area also offers hiking, camping, and a wide variety of sporting events. You can also find many historic sites as well as cultural activities. The area is also a hotspot for trendy restaurants as well as intimate boutiques.

There are many states located in the United States which have a county under the name “Orange County”. Three states with the highest populations in the United States all include an Orange County, those include California, Florida, and New York. We are going to focus our attention on Orange County, California as well as the West Coast in general.

History

Early Days

The Gabrielios, a Native American tribe, was Orange County’s first known inhabitant and were given this name by the Spaniards. From there Juan Pablo Grijalva was the first landholder. He was a Spanish soldier who arrived in California from early expeditions out of Mexico. In 1801 the Spanish colonial government gave him permission to build a ranch. His ranch continued growing until his family holdings extended from Riverside to the ocean.
